Horse riding at the coastal town Scheveningen

Enjoy the salty breeze that strikes though your hair as you gallop along the coast of Scheveningen. We organise beach and horse riding throughout the whole year. Our starting point is the bus terminal Zwarte Pad. From here we can go directly into the dunes or onto the Beach. In the dunes of Scheveingen you will experience beautiful views riding over the hills and through the valleys of the nature reserve Meyendeyl. You may have an encounter with foxes, deer, rabbits, wild cows or wild horses. In Meyendeyl you will find a unique variety of birds. These beach and dune rides will always be accompanied by an experienced ORUN instructor.

From 1 March - 1 November we organise these beach/dune rides every Friday and Sunday. You will find our horse trailer at thebus terminal Zwarte Pad at Scheveningen. This is opposite the Carlton Beach Hotel, Gevers Deynootweg 201. From 1 November - 1 March we will only be there on Sundays. From 15 May - 15 September we can only go out on the beach after 7 PM, because during the summer no horses are allowed on the beach. However horse riding in the dunes is possible all day.

Reservations beach and/or dune horse riding
We want to offer you the perfect horse riding experience and provide you with a matching horse. Therefore we ask you to make a reservation in advance and to let us know if you have experience or not horse riding. Our rides are also suitable for beginners and/or less experienced horse riders! We would like to welcome you 30 minutes before you commence your ride so we can introduce you to your horse, give you a small introduction about horse riding, and if necessary and provide you with a safety helmed. Horse riding along the beach for beginners, one hour
If you have no experience at all we will keep your horse on a string for as long as necessary. During this ride you can try some trotting. This ride is suitable for two people and can be reserved for any moment of the day.
Beginners beach ride: one hour € 40,00 p.p. (direct booking € 35,00 p.p.)

Horse riding along the beach and dunes for beginners, two hour
Our horses take you over the highest point of the dunes onto the beach or the Meyendeyl valley. Suitable for less-experienced horse riders this trip will be organised in small group so we can adjust to your level of horse riding.

Romantic horse riding along Scheveningen beach, one hour
Imagine: the sun going down, it is dusky and the beach is deserted. All you can hear is the sea and the sea-gulls and the sound of your horse trotting! Just you, your horse and nature. Wouldn't you love to experience this with your partner? If you are a beginner we will keep your horse on a string. Horse riding on the beach is perfect for a romantic wedding proposal...

Horse riding at Meyendeyl two and a half hours for 2 people
This ride will start in the dunes and nature reserve Meyendeyl. After one hour we will have a short break at the pancake farm Meyendeyl. Here you can visit the information centre. We will continue our ride onto the beach or dune. Horse riding in Meyendeyl is available from 10 AM-1.30PM or from 2 PM-5.30PM.

Horse trail at Scheveningen, five hours.
This ride into the dunes, pancake farm Meyendeyl and the beach will have a total of 5 hours. At the pancake farm the horses and yourself will have a one hour break. You can visit the information centre and drink or eat somthing at the pancake farm Meyendeyl. Please note this is for experienced horse riders only.
